Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong management skills, a passion for excellent food, and a commitment to providing superior dining experiences in a supportive community-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and presentation meet high standards.
- Manage food preparation, production schedules, and staffing to maximize efficiency.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work culture.
- Develop and implement menus for daily service, special events, and catered functions.
- Control food and labor costs while maintaining budgetary guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the Dining Services Director to enhance resident dining experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a culinary setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, menu planning, and food safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse team and inspire excellent performance.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- ServSafe Manager Certification or similar food safety credential preferred.
